AnimaEcho ("AnimaEcho", "we", "us", or "our") builds a warm AI companion app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed AnimaEcho to collect as little as possible and to keep your conversations private.
By using the AnimaEcho app or website (together, the "Service"), you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Conversations. The messages you send to your companion, and the replies generated for you. These are used to produce responses and to power the app's memory feature so your companion can remember context across conversations.
- Profile details you share. Anything you choose to tell your companion (your name, preferences, or the things going on in your life) may be stored as part of your conversation history and memory.
- Support messages. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can help you.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data. Basic technical information such as app version, device model, operating system, and anonymous usage events (for example, that a session started) to keep the Service working and improve it.
- Diagnostics. Crash and error logs that help us fix problems.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your payment card details. Subscriptions are processed by Apple, and we never see your card number.
- We do not access your camera, contacts, or photos.
- We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
2. How we use your information
- To generate your companion's replies and voice.
- To provide the memory feature, so conversations feel continuous.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Service providers we share with
To make the companion work, some information is processed by trusted third parties acting on our behalf:
- AI model providers. Your messages are sent to a large-language-model provider (such as Google) to generate replies. They process the text to return a response and are contractually restricted in how they may use it.
- Voice (text-to-speech). The text of a reply is sent to Google to produce the spoken audio.
- App distribution & payments. Apple processes subscriptions and provides the App Store.
- Infrastructure & analytics. Hosting and analytics providers help us run and understand the Service.
We share only what each provider needs to perform its function, and we do not authorize them to use your data for their own advertising.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your conversation history and memory for as long as your account or app data exists, so your companion can remember you. You can clear your history or delete your data at any time (see Your Choices below). We keep diagnostic and usage data only as long as needed for the purposes above.
5. Your choices & rights
- Delete your data. You can clear conversation history in the app, or email us to request deletion of your data.
- Access & correction. You can ask what we hold about you and request corrections.
- Manage your subscription. Control or cancel AnimaEcho+ in your device's Subscriptions settings.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights such as portability or objection. Contact us to exercise them.
6. Children
AnimaEcho is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to it.
8. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
